Welcome to the MSDC web page!

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and to welcome you to this important resource for high quality professional development.  I come to the role as Executive Director for MSDC with 32 years of educational experience.  I am a teacher.  For 30 years I taught and coached students in Speech and Debate, 28 of those years at Ruskin High School (Hickman Mills C-1, Kansas City).  I then took the job of Instructional Coach for Secondary 1st year teachers, a role I still enjoy part time.  During my tenure in Hickman Mills, I chaired the PDC for 20 years and served on a variety of boards and committees, including MSDC.

Professional development is a passion of mine!  As a member of the educational profession, I know that learning is an on-going process, one which is essential for all educators as they lead students to academic excellence.  I am a committed advocate for high quality professional development for every teacher every day.

I am so glad you to be working with MSDC to further the work of education for educators through professional development!

Gloria Henry,
Executive Director MSDC
